September Cross Country Recap

The last two weekends, saw JD TBirds competing in four different cross-country meets, during which they amassed:10 first places, 10 second places and two third place finishes.
On Saturday, Sept 22nd at Bear Creek Park, Maya Baechler earned a win with Griffen Cole, Gabbi Barton, Libby Dabbs, and Harris Boomer each taking second spots; Clare logan, Coco Clement, and Kate Logan taking two 4ths, and a 5th place, respectively.
High schoolers Makenna Baechler, and Andrea Hui took 3rd and 4th in their divisions.
The following day at the Vancouver Spirit Run at Jericho Beach Park, TBirds dominated with Elijah Clarke, Miller Dabbs, Libby Dabbs, Kai Martland and Maya Baechler all winning. Harris Boomer, Gabbi Barton, Griffen Cole, Anna Kruk, and Graeme Chilton earned 2nd spots. Adam Rentz and Ruby Forsyth both picked up close 3rd place finishes. Natalie Franke (13th), Cameron Phipps (14th), Kate Logan (7th), Chloe Van Schalkwyk (9th)Liam Dawes-Forster (10th)and Brayden Horlock (12th) all ran strongly.
On Saturday, September 30th in White Rock, Elijah Clarke and Harris Boomer repeated their 1,2 positions, Gabbi Barton took 1st followed by Chloe Symon (3rd), Ruby Forsyth (5th) and Kate Logan (6th). Kai Martland capped off a back to back win, with Jacob Leader placing 9th and Liam Dawes-Forster, 17th. Adam Rentz picked up a second place, with Libby Dabbs and Clare Logan both earning bronze medals. Coco Clement snagged a 5th place finish, Miller Dabbs finished 6th and Griffen Cole, 13th. In the High-School division, Dylan Ulrich earned 2nd place in the Midget Boy's division, with teammate Christian Petersen following closely in 4th, and Ravi Mehta in 28th.
Congratulations to all of the TBIrd athletes as they prepare for the last two meets of the season: The Frank Reynolds Meet in North Vancouver on Oct 14th and the BC Championships in Abbotsford, Oct 28th.
